Service Description

We travel along the local shoreline, up to fishing the 9 mile bank of San Diego, in search of yellowtail, rockfish, seabass, halibut, calico bass, barracuda, etc, depending on what is around that time of year. We provide all the tackle, rods and reels, and bait that you’ll need to catch any of these fish. We also provide, water, ice and a cooler for your lunch, and other drinks you may want to bring along! Please note this trip is for 4 passengers, you may bring an extra passenger which is an additional 25% of the total trip price. Please confirm total passengers when booking the trip.

Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy

Payment: 50% deposit for reservations. We accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash, or Credit Card. Remaining balance due on trip day. Charter rates are subject to change without notice, fuel surcharge may be applied depending on trip destination(s). Cancellation Policy: Cancellations more than seven (7) days prior to date of reservation will receive full refund. Cancellations requested less than Seven (7) days prior to date of reservation may apply the deposit amount to a future reservation date. Safety is our top priority and unconditional commitment to you. Awol Sport Fishing reserves the right to reschedule reserved trips due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical problems and/or illness at any time prior to trip departure. If a trip is rescheduled, Awol Sport Fishing is not responsible for expenses lost to the cost of airfare, lodging, and any other transportation related costs. Trip deposit will be refunded in full or applied to a future reservation date, as requested.


What  to Bring

  • Photo ID (must not be expired)

  • California Fishing License, for any angler 16 years or older (must be valid for trip date).  CA Fishing Licenses may be purchased at a tackle shop at our starting point on the morning of the trip.

  • Mexican Fishing License for all trips entering Mexican waters, for all ages.  

  • *Additional Needs for Coronados Islands Trips: Valid Passports, Mexican FMM Tourist Visas, and Mexican Biosphere Bracelets are required for Coronados Islands and/or fishing within 12 miles from Mexican coastline.  Awol Sport Fishing must purchase your group’s Permits and Tourist Visas for the Coronados Islands.  Permit purchase is a single application by the Operator of the vessel.   • Lunch food and drinks (no glass bottles please).  There will be cooler storage on the boat for your food and drink.  Captain will provide plenty of Waters & Gatorades

  • Layered Clothing – wear or shed layers depending on weather conditions (expect shoes to get wet!)

  • Sun Protection – sunscreen, hats, polarized sunglasses, long-sleeved shirts

  • Cooler for your catch (please leave in your car)
